"For the indian, kinship with all creatures of the earth, sky, and water was a real and ACTIVE principle....and so close did some of the Lakotas come to their feathered and furred friends that in true brotherhood they spoke a common tongue."
My animal today is Otter, (again---reminding me, play, play, play). Here's one of my Otter poems:
Ocean's Other Daughter Otter took me up upon Her back To swim to places on a different shore So that I might feel Her warm sleek body, her love for Water Splish-plash riding through White Crested Sacred Spaces galore.
I've been through many a storm I found The Calm centered inside The Formless Form Beneath The Ocean's Floor. I've sailed through many a stormy sea yet My Ship is still intact. The Mast, The Bow and The Hull Still free to sail, to plow forward through The Waves, to act! I've climbed, even crawled, Out of many a treacherous canyon over the years Yet I doubt not: I could do it all over
Again and again, without any tears! I've plummeted to The Ground From many a lofty peak Yet I know I am strong, My resolve to rise up again, never too weak. I have just begun a new round today.
I am a Rising Young Sun still virgin, a new, unpublished play Yet My Path and My Work throughout the ages Is never done I don't plan on settling down anywhere, on anyone! Nor closing the curtains if I fall off-stage. I've just begun! Aho!

Wild Dove I love otters. They remind of a mischievous child. They are funny, quizzical, endearing. Watch this video, and look what these darlings do when their little hands become separated.

As the Sea Otter to the industrious Beaver, both loved by myself and I know many others here as well.
Have you ever heard a kid beaver? They cry like a real baby!

Today is fun, too, but Spirit asked me to post this today as well. (I copied it in CONVERSATION WITH WILD DOVE also FYR:
Where there is no mind, there is no manifestation.
"Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; THE MYSTERY OF THE SEVEN STARS, WHICH THOU SAWEST IN MY RIGHT HAND." -Revelations, Chap. I, 19 & 20-
"The vast universe is but the mental image of The Creator at Work: There is no such thing as manifested existence apart from thinking of it: APART FROM MIND; and consequently, the infinite worlds that float securely in space BLUSHING AND SCINTILLATING WITH LIGHT OF LOVE OF THE GRAND MOTHER AND FATHER, revealing to mortal minds some faint conception of the AWESOME resources and recesses within Mother Nature's star-making laboratory, are but the SCINTILLATING REFLECTION OF LIFE."
"So it is true with the mental creative powers of the mind of man. Not a single vibration doth proceed from his every thought, without creating its glorious correspondence in the creative realm of Spirit, GIVING TO the soul of man, throughout eternity, this "FOOD FOR THOUGHT" that creates in the heart of those who consume it." - from "The Light of Egypt", by Zanoni- (Astro Philosophical Publishing Company, Denver, CO. 1900
