I say sweet dreams to you all (its 10:44pm here) and Spirit gaves this to me and said to post it for you guys, to start your day off in a good way (whichever one you choose to come to the posting on). Its from the 17th century by a man simply known as Brother Lawrence. (quoted with revision) from Letters of the Scattered Brotherhood.
"....and an unfolding is occurring. This new phase has come into your life largely through your own efforts, a thirsting for righteousness. But all this will be of no value if there is too great a sense of effort, of duty to perform. Rather it is for one to re-awaken the joyful, thrilling spirit of the quest. Even the seemingly meaningless challenges material life brings can be found to be joyful. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the inner room. "Knock, and it shall be opened unto you", but do it softly. Do it gently yet DO IT EVERYDAY. Those who give you these counsels live on that high selfless plateau where genius walks and they will tell you there will always be delays. Yet they asked this of you, they asked with industry reminding you that all the efforts you have made, the hard work you've done, with joyful knocking and joyful asking, so shall the receiving be that much more bountiful than you might have imagined......
"Look upon these days as you would a game of chess: this move, this check, this checkmate, reset and try another tactic, but don't get too engrossed with the idea of check...."
"Whatever disappointment you face, by the alchemy of your spirit, you have transformed what was once a seemingly meaningless life of daily task-making into a work of art!"
"Let nothing degrade you today, nor any day thereafter. You are a fine piece of art all by yourselves, dear ones! We applaud you all! Peace I give unto you as your day begins."
Brother Lawrence.
