I LOVE this video....This guy is absolutely amazing....whenever I'm feeling down, which has been a lot lately, I watch this, and remember that I have so many friends, in so many different dimensions...
I think it the passion with which he sings this song, I'm not sure...but it really speaks to me....I hope you all will watch and be uplifted....

Really was awesome, saw the show on tv, but was glad to get the behind the scenes version. Thanks BTM Crazy me finds singers like Joe Cocker, Tom Waites, Rod Stewart Ritchie Havens, Lou Rawls AND Bonnie Raitt are my favorites. I think its the raspy crawling voices that take me places....Here's Joe Cocker's version:
Here's a Bonnie Raitt song I love to play a lot:

Strange, I was thinking about the good old days when I came to your post. I was fortunate when I lived in Corona del Mar with my college pal Don Rypinski. His mother, Florence Rypinski WAS AND STILL IS Florence Henderson, who along with Ozzie, Harriet and David (except Ricky, who had already died) lived up the hill from their house. As conservative and as red-neck Orange county Ozzie was, the rest of the family wasn't. Few know about this part of her life (no bios show that Florence ever was married to Don's dad Donald Rypinski}, few know that she, Vera Miles and Harriet Nelson once sang together as sisters and some of the Andrew Sisters songs were recorded (substituted) by those three. Plus, few people know that several songs Judy Garland was said to have recorded were actually sung by Dick Haynes (she was too drunk/stoned towards the end of her singing career). Why am I mentioning this? 'Cause I was fortunate to get to know all of them through "connections- a little help from my friends connections".
My life for the last 42 years has been about "connections" and a lttle help from my friends. So here's some more "oldies" by Ricky Nelson. I will always remember sitting at David Nelson's kitchen counter while this was playing. These two families, in spite of what we (the general public) know about them, did some remarkable things like help stop the Vietnam War in its tracks. Some of the rich and famous ARE among our unsung heros....I am fortunate to have known some of them personally:
