He's not well. He had a rough couple of days this weekend. They've moved him to L-TAC, which is the long-term acute care unit. I didn't go to see him this weekend because Chelsea had prom and my mom moved here. Yesterday when I called the nurse instead of just telling me how he was, she hesitated and said, "Um, have you spoken to his wife?" And I told her no, but asked if I needed to and the nurse said yes I did and went and got her for me. It scared me. But according to my dad's wife, nothing much had changed, he's still in a holding pattern. So I don't really know what's going on.

Melissa, all I really have to contribute is that this kind of situation intensifies every personal and family dynamic that normally exists.

A good question to ask yourself as well as to ponder about regarding family members is "What is it I typically fear? How is that fear being intensified at this time"?

Ask this of yourself, and think deeply on that in regards to what others fear.

Let me know what you come up with.

But, in answer to your question, I guess the biggest fear I have in general and surrounding this situation is the fear of not being good enough, of somehow failing my dad. You know, not measuring up to his standards somehow. I'm having a few people that don't even know me reinforce that fear right now. It's getting rather ugly.

You know what always helps? Tap dancing

Yup, nothing like a good ol' dance of the tap.

Well, it's a good thing I just bought a pair of tap shoes.

I am adding to this. BTM and Two need healing and comforting spirits to surround them at this time. BTM needs solace, and Two needs strength to share with Be. Please pray and send healing and comforting thoughts their way. BTM I am storming heaven with prayers. I pray that your wish be granted if that be GOD's plan for your journey. I am praying continuously for you. You will come through this stronger.
