"I Walk The Earth Highway"

I am a Seeker of Wisdom, a Hunter of Invisible Game. I stalk only Beauty but never in vain.

I walk The Earth Highway.
On damp moistened dirt, through tall willowy grasses,
Among strong hardy ferns, lush green trees,
I want to know more about my home.
Even more about the loam that opened up its heart to me.

Sometimes Mother Earth can hear me walking. I can hear Her sigh. Silently alone,
I let Father Sky do all the talking.
This Earth of ours is a Gift Mother and Father sewed
On beams of golden sunlight streaming everywhere across the land,
I don't want to turn my back on Them, I want to walk with
The Grand Mother, slowly, hand in hand.

For there's so much to see and hear as I sink deep beneath the ground below
Feeling everything as though it were fresh fallen snow.
Soaring above the mountains, too, with their beauty surrounding me,
Hearing The Soft Winds blow, celestial trumpets, celestial fans.
Should You ever ask me to tell you what I do know, I'll tell You this much:

"This Earth, This Air, This Ocean, This Fire:
It belongs to each and every one of us.
A Covenant's been handed down, A Birthright and a Deed.
Plenty to see, to clothe and feed us,
Its all that we will ever need."

I know I must use My Home in a good way too,
To love Her even more.
Not to ravage Her or to rape Her.
(We've done that so many times before!)
Where will we all end up if we keep on doing that?
Probably in Hell, don't You think?
If we don't mend what we've torn.
Or keep throwing our trash down the drink.

Yeah! That's right! Pillaging and Raping Her
Digging deep into Her Core,
Keep that up and we'll ALL fall down
In the same place Oldman Satan did before.
(How Dare We do this! Don't We want The Gift anymore?)
I don't think we're ready to give it back yet,
But don't dismiss the gods' warnings
They're not meant for the poor of heart.
Nor are They found lacking. They've been there from The Start.

Come Judgement Day, We'll ALL be standing on The Floor
At The Threshold of The Mighty
Facing Our Mother
At HER Door!
(Do we want Her wrath, Her Judgement, and Her Thunder?
(Hmm..........I'm beginning to wonder.....)
Our feet may be trembling deep in guilt,
Cracking and creaking, dreading Her judgement To the hilt!
(But It doesn't have to be that way.....tilt!)

I'm trying to say a lot more: It'll be US cracking apart if we keep this up
Not The Earthen Ground floor!

If we try harder, maybe we won't have to crawl on all fours.

So why don't stop this madness and slow ourselves way down, right now?
Walk Her highway humbly, quietly in peace
Stepping lightly that way
May be all that's necessary to bring the needed release.

Doing the best that we can isn't difficult.
Nor is thanking The Gods for these gifts to fellow man
Dancing brightly in quartertime, everytime
Meets The Purpose of The Plan.

The Grandfathers said to me one day:
"This way, its never quite over
There's plenty out there to discover.
But do it softly. Steadily. Go slowly,
Stay in touch with Your soul!"

I can see and hear what you have to say now!
As I walked I heard The Spirit Crew pray.
They're The Beautiful Tree People
Who stand tall watching silently as we pass Their Way.
There are many many ways to reach The Path of Spirit's Heart
But I know now The Path I chose is right for me.
The Great Highway Engineer designed them all
With Golden Light, you see.

The Patterns and Colors The Spirit-crew used never separate.

By The Way, They want everybody there. No time to waste, no promises to fullfil. Just getting there on time takes very little skill. No Invitation list for you to sign upon entry either, your Presence at The Feast is a miracle in itself. By Divine Will, Great Spirit and I will always keep at least one seat vacant for you next to us, instead of stored upon some dusty old shelf. But if You are ready to make tracks with Mother Earth and me:

"Come and join Us now!"
The Gods can be heard to say:
"Pick up any of Our Instruments and Drums
Including The Human Ones we've tuned along The Way."
"None of Them are dark or heavy. You'll hear The Music they make is beautiful and clear!
Its time to put down your inhibitions and fears
There's heavenly fun over here."


"We know, there's plenty of fun in your world too, but here in The Sky of Spirit the wine and the food are free. They're free where you're at, too, we know that. Grand Mother and Her Daughter always gave Good Medicine from the moment of Their Birth, both here on The Ground, and in The Sky. Everywhere There's Laughter and Mirth. There's, well, how can we say it?..... "Here's mud in your eye or, here comes another piece of pie!" (*S*)"

Then The Voices suddenly went silent. It was so still.
I simply started walking again, this time in reverence.
To this very day, I still continue to roam.
Their presence is now inside me. I'm not searching anymore.
I no longer feel alone. I may wander Earth's highway forever,
You won't find me lying on old shelves, or wasting time on the phone.
I'm making my way forward carrying the gods' love for me with all of its wealth.

My lovely sweet Spirit-Scented Friend, my dear companion, LittleBear,
My dear Mother Earth, my Soul and My Heart:
My message of love to you I do send.
Now its time to blow you a kiss and lay down my pen.
