 Jiminy Cricket!

PostSubject: Jiminy Cricket!   Thu Sep 20, 2007 7:48 am

Yesterday morning, when I came to my desk, there was an adorable little cricket sitting squarely in front of my monitor. I thought, "Oh, how cute," and then blew him off the desk, onto the floor. A few minutes later, he jumped into my lap and then back on to the desk. Now he's stalking me. No matter where I put him, he keeps coming back to me, so I thought it would be fun to see what message cricket brings. It's interesting...

Intuition and Belief

The appearance of Cricket is your life heralds an awakening of sensitivities and finding light within the dark.

Dreams become more clairvoyant.
Trust in your intuition it is more accurate than you believe.

Make sure to stay grounded and balanced while exploring
your intuition and psychic abilities.
The appearance of Cricket might also be a reminder than you are using psychic powers without proper grounding.

In China, the Cricket symbolizes a fighting spirit.

In England, it is considered good luck to find a cricket on the hearth.

Crickets were believes to be familiar who watched over and
guarded the home's occupants.

BTM I went to Round Top, Texas yesterday and I was walking in a field where there were thousands of crickets. Tiny little black crickets. They were all over my legs, and hopping and bouncing all over the place. I have never seen anything like it.

and just listening to the sound of them out in the summer time, makes you feel so alive so thankful of the nice weather! Yesterday afternoon, hiking out to the woods I was listening to them, and remembered what my Father would say: Another week of hot dry days upon us!

This weekend, I was weeding my flower garden, and there were hundreds of teeny crickets everywhere. I mean they were teeny-tiny, almost microscopic. Looks like all that summer singing paid off!

I found a praying mantis on my cannas, by the front door. I've always heard that meant good fortune was coming. Every other time I've found one on or by my front door, someone ends up sending me money! lol...I haven't seen one in years, he was beautiful!

As far as totems go, this is what I've found (notice it says nothing about money! hahaha):

The Power of Stillness

The Praying Mantis teaches how to still the outer mind and go within ourselves.
Through this, we can draw upon greater power --
physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.
That stillness can be simple contemplation or meditation or even dreaming.

Healers often have Praying Mantis totems -- for they use
their inner stillness to focus their healing power.

The greatest lesson this totem teaches is patience.
Learning to wait for the right moment before striking.
