| LIGHT AMONG THE TREES, THE BRIARS AND THE WEEDS by Willy TwoHawk, Sept. 28, 10:28 I lay down beside her Her tears flowing softly down her cheek I lay down beside her While the creek beside us overflowed its banks And became our bed I lay down beside her Like a leaf from the dead among the reeds I melted into her stream As the waters resided I was reborn, a stirring of choice, a shaking young thing. I rose from our ancient bed of love Her breath nurtured by the seed Leaving me bone dry. But it t'was those soft sweet tears from her cheek That landed upon my chest Giving me a chance to become yet Another tree as beautiful as she. | |
