A Little Difference that can make a Big Difference
http://www.actsofkindness.org/node/476318Just want to share this little thought with you..... Many of us these days are too scurried in doing things for ourselves.... everyday... day in, day out, people have spent their time cramming their time doing things that they think make themselves happy. For, they believe that is what True (Real) Happiness is!! Yet, how many of us... come to realize that True (Real) Happiness lies not in desiring ourselves to be happy first BUT rather in others to be Happy first!! And, it is that Little Difference that makes a Big Difference in this world..... After all... isn't it true...as the saying goes.... "It's always better Giving than Receiving!"Sometimes, kindness or giving does not need to be in a form of monetary terms..... It can be just a simple smile, a gentle word or a helping hand... and that already can make a lot of difference in another person's life...... To some people.... this can a gentle nudge to put them back onto their feet... Yet, I wonder how many of us can cultivate that thought?? Do YOU think this is possible?? Can we join hands to make it possible in this world by beginning with you and me??
Craig Kielburger - One Act of Kindness
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IdCqK-bZk_k&NR=1Craig shares a story that exemplifies the power behind small acts of kindness and how it can send ripples of kindness forward - Me to We.
Me to We
http://www.metowe.com/main/A movement often begins when people least expect it. But in every generation, just when the world needs shaking up, a seed is planted. And from that seed, many come together to help it grow. 1960s: The civil rights movement ushers in a new era of equality. 1980s: The anti-apartheid movement brings justice to the oppressed. 2008: The Me to We movement inspires daily actions that change the world. We live in an era of interconnection. Every choice we make, every dollar we spend, every action we take profoundly affects our world. And through simple steps-a conversation, a compassionate decision, a change of our culture's priorities-we can meet our world's many challenges together. It all begins with a shift in thinking: from Me to We. History shows us that every great social movement began with one incontestable truth: somebody did something. Me to We helps everyone answer the question: what have you done to change the world today? MAKE sure to watch the video at

Check also the Coin-spiracy!
http://www.investinakinderworld.com/The Coin-spiracy revolves around the launch and tracking of a uniquely coded kindness coin called a UNI - short for the universal nature of kindness. Each UNI Coin is launched by a school or youth group. To participate, the school or youth group commits 3 kind acts: one for self, one for the environment and one for another. Then, the coin (along with a travelling document called a "pass-port" - new as of 2006) is passed on to the recipient of the kind act who in turn joins the Coin-spiracy by committing 3 kind acts and passing on the coin. -- Between November 2002 and June 2007, over 207 UNI Coins have been invested in kind action, resulting in 282,323 hours invested in service and over $270,143 raised for communities in need locally as well as in over 45 countries around the globe.
