Notes from Neale...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My dear friends...
I read some very disturbing news in The New York Times last week about what is coming to be called The Food Crisis of 2008. Then, while traveling, I was in an airport news shop and saw a copy of the international news magazine called The Economist, and in it was a very large story, together with an editorial, on...you guessed it, the Food Crisis of 2008.
Then, a day or two ago, I opened my web browser and saw a front page headline reporting that Sam's Club and CostCo have announced this week that they will be putting limits on how much rice shoppers can purchase in light of global food inflation.
One expert suggested, though, that the decree was less about low supply than preventing restaurants and small stores from stocking up in case prices rise significantly in the future.
A sign at one of the outlets said: DUE TO INCREASED DEMAND WE ARE LIMITING RICE PURCHASES BASED ON YOUR PRIOR PURCHASING HISTORY. PLEASE SEE A SUPERVISOR TO FIND YOUR LIMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
For a look at what The Times and The Economist had to say, follow these links...please read the articles there, then come back to this Week's CWG Bulletin!
New York Times - Across Globe, Empty Bellies Bring Rising Anger - April 18th 2008
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/18/world/americas/18food.html?ref=todayspaper
The Economist - The Silent Tsunami - April 19th 2008
http://www.economist.com/opinion/displaystory.cfm?story_id=11050146
Now the question after reading these articles is...What are we going to do about it?
The fact is, several million people have read the Conversations with God books through the years. If only a fraction of those readers acted together, much good could be done here. That is why I had the idea this week to create a new page on the Conversations with God Foundation website. It can be accessed either by going through the main site, or directly from the Internet at...
www.FoodForEveryone.net
The page gives all CWG readers a chance to act now to relieve the hunger of people around the world. I hope you will read the articles to which I have pointed, above, and that then you will go to...
www.FoodForEveryone.net
...and do whatever you can as fast as you can. Every day, every hour, makes a difference in a situation such as this.
This is the kind of work that the Foundation does in the world, putting CwG into action "on the ground" on a daily basis. I am pleased that the Foundation is able to rally its constituency around this great purpose.
NOW I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE that the Foundation will be presenting a special program in the Fall for persons who wish to delve more deeply than they ever may have before into the Conversations with God material. I will be presenting in Ashland, Oregon a THREE-DAY INTENSIVE Sept. 3-4-5 called Deep Study.
The program is intended for persons who really want to explore the messages of CwG in a detailed way, asking specific and meaningful (and often very personal) questions about every aspect of the material and how it can be applied to their every day lives. Participants will be working closely with me from 9 in the morning until 9 at night in a very special 3-day Excursion of the Soul.
1. This program is especially recommended for those who wish to teach this material in any format (i.e., study groups, lectures, one-day seminars, full-scale workshops) for their church or on their own.
2. It is also a wonderful resource for individuals who simply yearn to know more -- much more -- about how these principles can be applied in their lives.
3. It is perfect for those who simply wish to be able to talk more fluidly and explain more easily and clearly what CWG is all about when family members or friends ask, "What is this that you're into?"
Participants will be able to ask any questions they wish; the questions about certain aspects of CwG that they've always wanted answered.
The CWG Deep Study program cost is $895. Participants will handle their own meals and lodging during their stay in beautiful Ashland, Oregon.
We know that this program is not for everyone. We expect a handful of people from around the world will participate, so you will be in a very small group. To hold your place contact Will Richardson, the director of educational programs for the Foundation, at
352-442-2244 or by email: Will@cwg.org
love and hugs and best wishes on your journey...
Neale.
for my wonderful friends at the ReCreation Foundation
Interesting the workshops will be in Ashland, Oregon, one of the highest good spiritual centers few know about. Oregonians have been at cutting edge for a long time, few know this. Perhaps the media's absence helps keep the work being done more potent and unbiased....Will see what I can do....miracles happen, as The Intender's speak (so did Jesus) "Command ye this!" Therefore I command and intend the Universe, Creator God and all the Helpers to make it possible for me to address the food Crisis, with plenty of time, money and all that is needed. So Mote It Be!!!!!!
